NFL Power Rankings Week 12

1. Saints (1). Next Monday they welcome the Pats to the Dome. Can they keep undefeated then?

2. Colts (2). Colts won the 10 games but it was a very near thing! Certainly they have much pressure from undefeated result. What will happen this week in Houston?

3. Vikings (5). Old birds is not to be catched with chaff. Favre continues to amaze and defy all laws of rules.

4. Patriots (6). After big win over the Jets, Pats head to the Bayou for next game versus the Saints on Monday night. The road ahead is not so easy.

5. Chargers (N/A). The Chargers have gone from 2-3 to the odds-on favorite to take the AFC West crown after demolishing Denver 32-3. They now own the largest winning streak of any team who has suffered a loss this year. With their next two games against Kansas City and Cleveland respectively, that lead is likely going to expand, barring a major upset or two.

6. Bengals (3). The Bengals collapsed in the final 33 seconds, allowing two scores to the lowly Oakland Raiders in a 20-17 loss. They kept their one-game lead in the AFC North thanks to Pittsburgh’s debacle against Kansas City.

7. Cardinals (8). The Cards have built a three-game lead in the NFC West , making it likely that they will become first team to lose the Super Bowl and repeat as conference champs since Buffalo in the early 1990s.

8. Steelers (4). The defending Super Bowl champs not only lost their second-straight, a 27-24 shocker to the lowly Kansas City Chiefs, but they also lost Ben Roethlisberger and maybe even backup and hometown favorite Charlie Batch.

9. Packers (9). Not sure how they do it, but they’re still in the hunt; sad indictment on the state of the NFC

10. Cowboys (N/A). The Cowboys eeked out a 7-6 win against the cellar-dwelling Redskins, and have the Giants and Eagles breathing down their necks in the always fearsome NFC East.
