Tennessee Titans vs Houston Texans NFL Week 11 Predictions

 

The Tennessee Titans are in Houston, Texas tonight to take on the Houston Texans in Week 11’s Monday Night Football game.  This AFC South showdown would likely put Tennessee out of playoff contention if they lost.  The Tennessee Titans are 3-6, after starting the season with six straight losses. The Titans have gone on to beat Jacksonville, San Fran and Buffalo in their last three with QB Vince Young starting in each win.  The Texans come into this Titans vs Texans game with a 5-4 record and look to move tied for second in the AFC South with the 6-4 Jaguars.  The Texans had won three in a row before losing by three points to Indianapolis on the road in Week 9.  Coming off a bye week, the Texans will be ready for this Monday night game that could keep them in the hunt for their first playoff berth in franchise history.

The Titans defeated Buffalo 41-17 as an 8-point favorite in Week 10. The combined score went OVER the posted over/under total (41). Chris Johnson continued his assault on defenses rushing for 132 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries and he also caught nine passes for 100 yards for Tennessee in the win. The total has gone OVER in 5 of Tennessee’s last 6 games when playing on the road against Houston.

The Texans lost to Indianapolis 20-17 as a 7.5-point underdog in Week 9. The combined score fell UNDER the posted over/under total (50.5). Matt Schaub threw for 311 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for Houston, while Andre Johnson had 10 receptions for 103 yards. It may not have been a win but it was another competitive game against a really good team.
